Meet Dr. Russell G. Lewis

Dr. Lewis grew up right here in Sandy, Utah, not more than a mile from his office. He attended Jordan High School where he lettered in football, soccer, and was a Student body Officer. Upon returning from a mission for his church in Geneva, Switzerland he attended and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in French and minor in chemistry. Before starting dental school he interned for world renowned dental lecturer and founder of the CR Foundation, Gordon J. Christensen. During this year internship Dr. Lewis evaluated dental products and devices before they were available to the dental community. He conducted research and co-authored publications in the dental field. He also presented research at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) conference in Boston, Massachusetts as a pre-dental student.

Dr. Lewis attended and graduated from Creighton University Dental School through the highly respected Regional Dental Education Program and the University of Utah Medical School. Upon graduation he purchased and acquired his practice, Sandy Family Dentistry, from Dr. David Adamson at it’s current location 19 years ago. He also continued his affiliation with the CR Foundation as one of 400 Clinical Evaluators in 16 countries. He volunteers his time to test and evaluate many of the products, devices, and materials used in the dental field. He does this to assure you as a patient that all the techniques, materials and devices used in his practice are of the highest quality available, as well as a service to his dental peers.

Dr. Lewis is affiliated with and a member of the Utah Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Research, the International Association of Dental Research, American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of LDS dentists.

Dr. Lewis resides in Draper, Utah with his family.
